Q. How do I register if I want to enter the Hall of Fame?
A. Send the file with the record of your time and route to our Facebook site via Messenger with a photo of you on the Challenge and we'll use it on our social media and this website.
Q. Is there a GPX file of the Dragon's Ascent Challenge route?
A. Yes, there is. Follow the AllTrails link below.
Q. Can I attempt the Challenge at any time?
A. Yes, the footpath is a right of way, is open all-year and can be accessed whenever you want to use it.
Q. How do I enter the annual Dragon's Ascent Challenge event?
A. Watch this website for details of the race which will be administered by the team who organise the Montane Spine Races.
Q. If I attempt the Challenge and get to Tan Hill how do I get back to the to Hardraw if I have left my car there?
A. We have plans to provide a minibus shuttle service for Challengers to return them to the Green Dragon. Until that is in place you will have to organise your own transport.
Q. Will there be souvenirs if I complete the Challenge?
A. Yes, eventually our online shop will supply finisher's scrolls and Dragon's Ascent Challenge clothing.
Q. Is the Dragon's Ascent Challenge free?
A. Yes, the 15.2-mile route of the Challenge is part of the Pennine Way and is a right of way, free to all users on foot.
